What the app accesses on your device
With your permission, RemWake reads two things from Apple Health: your heart rate during the night, used to detect a light-sleep moment inside your wake window, and your sleep analysis data after you wake, used to build your morning report. RemWake also reads motion data from your Apple Watch during the night for the same wake-detection purpose.
RemWake writes nothing back to Apple Health.
All of this is processed on your devices. Your alarm history and morning reports are stored locally on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes that data.
What we collect
Nothing. RemWake has no user accounts, no analytics that identify you, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers, and no server that receives your information.
The website
This website collects less than most, but not nothing.
If you join the waitlist, you give us your email address and, optionally, whether you wear an Apple Watch to sleep. We use these to email you about RemWake and to select beta testers, and for nothing else. We never sell or share them. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list. This list is stored with our email provider, Kit.
If you contact us through the support form or by email, we receive your email address and your message, and we use them only to reply to you.
We don't currently use any analytics on this website. If we ever add a privacy-respecting visit counter, it will use no cookies, it won't track you across sites, and we'll name it here.
Your rights
Because the app stores nothing about you off your device, there is no account to access, export, or delete. Uninstalling removes everything. For the waitlist, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or write to team@remwake.com and ask us to remove you. If you're in a jurisdiction with rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, such as the UK, EU, or California, those rights apply to your waitlist email address, and the same address will handle the request.
Children
RemWake is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, particularly if we ever start collecting something we don't collect today, we'll say so plainly by email to the waitlist and in the app.
