Smart alarm for Apple Watch

RemWake wakes you at the right moment.

Waking from deep sleep can leave you foggy for up to an hour. RemWake follows your sleep through your Apple Watch and rings during light sleep, inside a window you choose. It never rings later than your deadline.

The science

Same sleep. Different alarm timing.

That heavy feeling has a name: sleep inertia. Research suggests it depends largely on which sleep stage your alarm interrupts.

Stampi, cited in Hilditch & McHill, Nature and Science of Sleep (2019). Sleep inertia typically lasts 15–60 minutes and can persist longer (Sleep Foundation).

How it works

Wakes you between cycles,
not in the middle of one.

Sleep moves in cycles of roughly 90 minutes, drifting from light sleep into deep sleep and back again. An alarm that lands at the bottom of a cycle can leave you foggy for a while. One that lands near the top lets the morning begin gently.

01 · SET

Pick your deadline

"Up by 7:00, anytime after 6:30." You choose the latest you can wake and a 10, 20, or 30-minute window before it.

02 · SLEEP

Your Watch keeps watch

Overnight, RemWake reads heart rate and motion from the Apple Watch you already own. Everything is processed quietly, on your own devices.

03 · WAKE

Rise on the upswing

When light sleep appears inside your window, haptics start at a whisper and gently build. If no good moment comes along, it simply rings at your deadline.

The wake

The anti-blaring alarm.

Haptics begin at whisper strength on your wrist and build gently over a minute or so. Sound arrives late and low, or not at all. A silent wrist-only wake lets your partner sleep on.

whisper → wake, over ~60–90 seconds

Why RemWake

A well-designed instrument
for waking up well.

It always rings

Your deadline is protected by a guaranteed system-level alarm that fires even in Silent mode and Focus. The smart part can only ever wake you earlier, never later.

You already own the hardware

There's no new tracker to buy and no extra gadget to charge. Any Apple Watch on watchOS 26 or later is enough.

Nothing leaves your device

RemWake has no accounts, no servers, and no cloud. Your sleep data stays on your Watch and iPhone, where it belongs.

Silent wrist wake

Wake to Watch haptics alone while your partner sleeps on. It might be the kindest alarm two people can share a bed with.

An honest morning report

Each morning you'll see when you woke, where that landed in your cycle, and, when it happens, that it was a deadline wake instead. An alarm earns trust by telling the truth.

Not a sleep tracker

Apple already tracks your sleep beautifully. RemWake focuses on a single moment, the wake, and every feature serves it.

Every morning

Your morning, explained.

Good morningOn the crest

You surfaced at 6:47, during light sleep, near the top of your fourth cycle. On mornings when no light-sleep moment appears, the report says so plainly: "We woke you at 7:00 sharp." An alarm you can trust is one that tells you the truth.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What if it can't find a good moment to wake me?

Then it rings at your deadline. The guaranteed alarm is scheduled the moment you go to bed and fires from your iPhone no matter what happens overnight, even if your Watch battery dies or the watch comes off. Smart when it can be, punctual always.

Does it wake me during REM sleep?

No, and that's deliberate. Waking mid-REM can be disorienting too. RemWake aims for light sleep between cycles, when your body is already drifting toward the surface on its own.

Will it drain my Watch battery?

Overnight sensing is designed to stay modest, and the app tells you the real number each morning rather than hiding it. Charge before bed and you're set. Exact figures are coming out of our beta, and we'll publish them.

What do I need?

An iPhone on iOS 26 or later and an Apple Watch on watchOS 26 or later, worn to sleep. That's the whole setup. A phone-only mode is on the roadmap.

What happens to my sleep data?

It stays on your devices. RemWake has no accounts and no server. Health data is read to score your wake timing each morning and never written anywhere else. Details are in our privacy policy, which is a short read.

Is this a sleep tracker?

No. Apple already tracks your sleep well. RemWake focuses on the wake, and every feature serves waking up clear-headed.
